1. CNC Aluminium Top Case — Real Metal, Not a Sticker

The upper shell is milled from 6063 aluminium alloy with a 180-mesh anodised finish. That gives a cool, finely grained touch and a rigidity plastic simply can't match. It's a half-aluminium design on purpose: the ABS bottom shell avoids the "Faraday cage" effect, so the 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth signal stay strong and stable instead of being blocked by metal.

2. 98-Key "2U0" Layout — Numpad Without the Bulk

The 2U0 arrangement gives you a full number pad, the F-row and dedicated arrow keys in a body noticeably shorter than a full-size board. The 0 key is double-width and the transitions are natural, so touch typists don't fumble. Finance work, coding, data entry and gaming all fit.

3. Twin Hi-Fi Side Knobs

Instead of one knob on the deck, the SK98 puts two machined knobs on the right-hand side: one switches connection mode (wired / 2.4 GHz / Bluetooth) with a single twist — no key combos — and the other adjusts volume instantly. Both are reachable blind, which matters more than it sounds once you're used to it.

4. Gasket Mount + 5-Layer Damping

A gasket-mounted FR-4 double-sided PCB with single-key slots, a frosted PC slotted plate and five layers of acoustic filling combine to isolate the typing surface from the case. Result: an even, slightly bouncy keystroke, no hollow ping, and a clean, warm "thock" that sounds far above the price bracket.

5. Tri-Mode Connectivity

USB-C wired, 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth are all on board, switchable from the knob or a shortcut, so one keyboard can drive a desktop, a laptop and a tablet in the same session.

6. 8000 mAh Battery with NTC Protection

An unusually large cell for this class. Ajazz rates it at roughly 5000 hours wireless with backlighting off (around 4000 hours over Bluetooth) — measured in a lab, so treat it as a best case, but even at a fraction of that you're charging a few times a year, not weekly. NTC temperature monitoring protects the cell during charging.
